Flowers can’t bloom without a little rain…

Here at Atlas of Motherhood, we believe that every new mother deserves access to the support and resources she needs to navigate the postpartum period with confidence.

That's why we've created a comprehensive online program that provides new mothers with the knowledge, tools, and support they need to make the transition into motherhood as easy and positive as possible.

We all know ‘it takes a village to raise a child’, but in today’s busy world, a village of support is a luxury.

Instead of hands-on help from your community, you’re given 24/7 access to Google and sent on your merry way.

And it’s not all babyccinos and park dates — there's sleep deprivation, wild hormones, cracked nipples, an intensely physical recovery and an overwhelmingly emotional path to navigate while you discover your new identity.

So why aren’t these things being talked about?

Traditional prenatal education is focused on birth. We focus on what happens next.

The changes to your body, your mind, your relationships & your sense of self during postpartum are monumental.

Our program covers everything from physical and psychological preparation to real-life experiences and professional advice. We're here to help you navigate the sleep deprivation, wild hormones, cracked nipples, and intense physical recovery that come with postpartum. And we're here to support you as you discover your new identity as a mother.

Regardless of where you live, the postpartum season can be hard. Our cultures and health systems are all different, but the transition to motherhood often involves the same challenges.

Meet the Atlas of Motherhood — your personal support village

Our courses aren’t just based on one culture’s way of caring for mothers and babies, they’re a curation of the best contemporary care practices from around the world.

Because we don’t know what we don’t know.

We hope to open your eyes to how things could (and should) be done, so that you can embrace your postpartum experience without being hit by continuous curve balls.

Trina Cary Photography
Photographer

From opposite sides of the world, Isobel and Trina connected over Instagram and their mutual love for sharing stories of motherhood, Isobel through words and Trina through photographs, coming together to bring The Atlas of Motherhood to life. Through virtual photoshoots, Trina has been able to photograph all of the mothers involved in the project, scattered across the globe, without ever leaving her home in Canada.

Trina describes her photography style as documentary. “I love to direct my clients into natural movements and watch it unfold. Being still for a moment and seeing who they really are beneath the awkwardness of having a camera in front of their face. It's a beautiful thing studying people.”
